National Librarians’ Day is observed on 12 August every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Padmashri Dr S. R. Ranganathan (1892-1972), who is considered as father of library science in India. Dr. Ranganathan dedicated his entire life to library profession in India leaving a rich legacy. On the occasion of birth anniversary of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, the Sarsenapati Hambirrao Mohite Law College, Rajgurunagar regularly celebrates National Librarian’s Day.
